2tall - The Softer Diagram - Out Now
Submitted by honna on Wed, 2008-07-23 03:45.I just heard this is now shipping from Content / Samplist.com & will be in stores on July 29th. I don'tthink 2tall needs much introduction but I'll throw out a few things anyway. He was featured on numerous Turntable Radio Shows (see the previous post), give a listen to Shifting Tides, my personal favorite, check out Senses Overloaded (free ep 2tall & lamont) & he is the man behind the Cuts Of Culture series featuring his tracks and tons of other great scratch tracks from people all over the world. Oh and some of his tracks have been included in The DayMakers Podcasts here on tablist.net. His approach to music and I think his focus (scratch vs production) has changed. It all still has the 2tall sound & feel. The Softer Diagram is available now from Samplist.com and will be available in stores July 29th. Its released on the Content Label, & is probably somewhat limited so get it while you can. Check out some Samples Here.

Mr. Trick, Taking it back.... Old School Turntable Radio - Check it.
Submitted by honna on Sat, 2008-07-12 16:08.
If you haven't heard already the gang over at turntable radio is re-releasing their old Turntable Radio episodes every week. They have always been available in real media format, but now they are mp3s. Weather you haven't heard these shows since they were new or you've never heard them at all, this would be a good time to check them out. These shows have been a huge inspiration and resource for me. I seriously doubt tablist.net would be around if I wasn't able to hear so many dope artists making scratch music. So big up to Mr. Trick & Laurent for making it happen.

So you may notice that the podcast, The DayMakers Mix, is overdue. I've been making some improvements to the records room, so I moved the gear out, moved the gear back and its not quite right. I expect to have it sorted in a day or two. Also be on the look out for a new look & some new features here on tablist.net very soon. Keep uploading your tracks, videos and sending your work for future DayMakers Mixes. There have been some new loopers & mixes uploaded in the last week or two, so check those if you like.
Mike Boo, Teeko & Jazz Mafia Trio - Live At Brunos - Album Coming Soon
Submitted by honna on Tue, 2008-06-03 15:43.I don't have very much info about this, but here goes. Just the title tells you about all you need to know, Mike Boo, Teeko & The Jazz Mafia Trio Live at Bruno's. There isn't a release date, just 'coming soon'. I'm not familiar with The Jazzz Mafia Trio, however I am with Mike Boo & Teeko. See below for a full list of artists on this album. You should remember Mike Boo's Dunhill Drone Committee & Teeko's My SoundStation, if not you've got something to check out while you wait for this to drop. Both are highly recommended, there are also several other Four-One Funk releases waiting for you. If you saw or heard the My SoundStation release show you'll have high hopes for this. I've got the audio for that show somewhere, I'll try to put that up soon. Below are some related links to check out. My SoundStation Release show videos 1, 2, 3.
Featured Artists include:
Adam Theis - 7 string bass, trombone and synth,
Joe Cohen - alto and baritone saxes, keyboards,
Pat Korte - drums and sampler
Teeko - turntable
Mike Boo - turntable
Mike Olmos - trumpet
Marcus Stephens - tenor sax
Brown Chris - shout-outs
